Announcing: The book that St. Maximilian Kolbe
thought Catholic families couldn’t do without
thought Catholic families couldn’t do without
Dear Marian Devotee,
Let me tell you a story about the time I heard a curious ad while I was driving. Most ads are typically about curing or fixing something. But this ad wasn’t talking about curing or fixing anything. It was about preventing something. I remember the line exactly: “The cost of waterproofing your basement is nothing compared to the cost of fixing a flooded basement.” When you look at the Ten Commandments and the Bible in general, everything God tells us to do or not to do is to prevent some future misfortune from happening to us. In other words, just like this ad, God stresses preventing problems over solving them. |
I’m telling you this story, because it’s a nice reminder of what consecration to Mary does for Christian families.
Pope Pius XII, who canonized St. Louis de Montfort in 1947, said…
“Whoever has consecrated himself to Mary belongs to her in a special way. He has become as it were a sanctuary of the Most Holy Virgin.”
St. Louis de Montfort wrote…
“Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit” (“The Secret of Mary”, #1).
This secret is the spiritual equivalent of turning your annual salary into your monthly salary. St. Louis emphasizes…
“By this practice, faithfully observed, you will give Jesus more glory in a month than by any other practice, however difficult, in many years” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #222).
Imagine what that’ll do for your family’s relationship with God.

Fr. Emil Neubert was an expert at teaching this devotion to others.
St. Maximilian Kolbe told his fellow Franciscans about him:
“He has the exact same spirit as we have.”
And he encouraged everyone to read Fr. Neubert’s books. In fact, he translated one of them.
St. Maximilian also told them about St. Louis:
“The devotion taught by Blessed Grignion is ours exactly.”
In other words, he told them that St. Louis and Fr. Neubert were on the same page.

Blessed Pope Pius IX wrote in the Encyclical Ubi primum:
“God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is His will, that we obtain everything through Mary.”
He also declared that St. Louis’ devotion to Mary was the best and most acceptable form of devotion to Our Lady, which means this is the best way to help Our Lady carry out her mission of saving sinners.
Our Lady wants you and your family to share in her compassion for sinners, and she asks for your help to save them.
To emphasize this, she showed the three shepherd children at Fatima a vision of hell, and told them…
“You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish throughout the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart.”
And on Aug. 19, 1917, she told them, “Pray, pray a great deal, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because they have no one to sacrifice and pray for them.”
And so, there are souls who not only need you to practice devotion to her, but this specific devotion to her.
That’s because St. Louis also emphasized that this devotion is “more glorious to God, more sanctifying to the soul, and more useful to the neighbor, than any other of the devotions to her” (True Devotion, #118).

The Bible tells us: “And those who lead many to justice shall be like the stars forever” (Dan. 12:3).
And…
“He must know that whoever causes a sinner to be converted from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:20).

Maria duce! (Under Mary’s leadership!)

P.S. If you’re the type of person who likes to skip right to the bottom like I do, here’s a summary of what I just said…
St. Louis-Marie de Montfort wrote…
“Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit” (“The Secret of Mary”, #1).
And he called this secret…
“…a mystery of grace unknown to even the wisest and most spiritual among Christians” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #21).
He also admitted…
“I have now said many things about the Most Holy Virgin; but I have many more to say, and there are infinitely more which I shall omit, whether from ignorance, inability, or want of time” (True Devotion, #111).
“Mary and the Christian Family” fills in these gaps, and shows Catholic families how to use this secret, so you can transform your relationship with Jesus in just 30 days. St. Louis insisted…
“By this practice, faithfully observed, you will give Jesus more glory in a month than by any other practice, however difficult, in many years” (True Devotion, #222).
That’s one of the reasons why Blessed Pope Pius IX confirmed that St. Louis de Montfort’s devotion to Mary was the best and most acceptable form of devotion to Our Lady.
The book is just 13.99 for the paperback, 11.99 for the audiobook, and 9.99 on Kindle.
